怎样在简历中体现英文能力?
在各大求职BBS版面,经常会看到询问这样的问题,“简历是不是用英文呀”“面试是中文还是英文”“我没有过6级能去外企吗”“外企认不认托福成绩呀”。相信求职目标是外企的学生,都应该会深刻地感受到——英语太重要了!
英语基本上成为了外企筛选的一个重要门槛。不过今天我们要谈的不是怎么学英文,而是从求职的第一步入手,谈谈在简历中应该去怎么体现你的英文能力。
说到简历,当然,也包括现在企业流行的网申方式,英语语言能力是一个必填项。能过四、六级基本上对于外企来说已经不新鲜了。很多同学的简历上都会简单地写上这样一句话:“通过CET4,CET6”,未免显得过于单薄,因为外企看重的不是你的英文考试能力,而是注重你的英语运用能力和沟通能力。
怎么才能在简历中充分地表现自己的英文能力?HiAll的简历专家给大家提了这样几条建议:
1、通过除四、六级之外的英语综合性考试证明自己的英文能力。
目前,很多学生还会考托福、托业、GRE、剑桥商务英语等考试。
托福、GRE是用于国外大学录取资格的基本考试,可以从一个侧面去反映你的英文能力。有人曾说过:只要考过托福,什么英语考试都不用怕了。
再说说托业考试。托业考试是为政府机构和大型跨国企业开发的一项英语测评体系,它用于测量母语为非英语国家的人士在日常工作环境中使用英语进行交流的能力。可以看出,托业考试对于求职者来说针对性更强一些。在08年正在进行的校园招聘中,有很多知名企业,比如摩托罗拉、爱立信、Adobe、韩国SK、金佰利、南方航空等公司都在简历填写中提出了填写托业成绩的要求,托业考试已成为被雇主认可的英文能力测试。宝洁公司的校园招聘笔试都是采用托业试题。
2、不要用空洞的语言来描述你的英文能力
很多简历中会出现这样的字眼:“通过大学四、六级,良好的听说读写能力”。仔细想一下会发现,后面的那句话起不了任何作用,变成了一句套话。你需要真实诚恳地表述自己。
再看看这样的描述:英语技能CET-6,擅长英文写作,拥有专业的英文翻译能力,能进行基本的工作沟通。这样看下来,感觉是比较充实且真实的。
3将你的英文能力贯穿在简历的每一个环节
英文能力不是只能在语言能力那一项发挥。很多同学都会有出国交流学习,英语大赛获得名次或者是接待外宾的经历。那么在你的实践经历中,你就可以把相关的事件写上去,有时候这些经历比英语考试更有说服力。

•接待来自美国、西班牙、韩国等国外宾及来自北非的政府奖学金留学生,全程英文交流,并协助新学期对外国留学生的招生工作

上面告诉大家一些方法,但是英文能力还是需要长期积累的,只有这样呈现出来的才是真实的英语水平。另外,大家可以较早的了解各种英语水平考试的题型,通过参加测试检验和证明自身的英语能力。同时,提醒大家及早关注目标企业对于应聘者的英语水平需要,以更好的有的放矢做好准备。
